The China Foundation for the Prevention of Sexually Transmitted Diseases and AIDS was established in 1988, and the honorary presidents of the Foundation are Ji Pengfei, former Vice Premier of the State Council, Fei Xiaotong, Vice Chairman of the National People's Congress, Wang Guangying, Wu Jiping, Xu Jialu, and Qian Xinzhong, former Minister of Health.
The president of the foundation is approved by the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China*** and the People's Bank of China, and the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People's Republic of China*** and the People's Republic of China examines and registers the foundation and issues a certificate. The legal representative of the foundation is the president. The first president of the Foundation is the highly respected former Minister of Health, Dr. Qian Xinzhong. The current president of the Foundation is Prof. Zeng Yi, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, deputy director of the National Committee of Experts on the Prevention and Control of AIDS, president of the Chinese Society of Preventive Medicine and former president of the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine. The aims of the Foundation are: to abide by the national constitution, laws, regulations and policies, to abide by social morals, to unite forces at home and abroad, to carry out publicity, education and research on the prevention and control of sexually transmitted diseases and AIDS, and to contribute to the control of sexually transmitted diseases and AIDS for the benefit of mankind.
The main tasks of the Foundation are to promote friendly exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and foreign academic groups and individuals in the prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and AIDS, and to organize academic exchanges at home and abroad; to introduce advanced prevention and treatment medicines, medical technologies, instruments and sanitary materials and health care supplies; to support the work of prevention and treatment of STDs and AIDS in China by using a variety of channels and forms of support for the support and conduct of relevant scientific research, consultation and Publicity and education; to collect and accept funds and materials and equipment donated at home and abroad to promote the cause of prevention and treatment of STDs and AIDS in China; to accept commissions from relevant organizations and individuals at home and abroad, and to undertake activities in line with the purpose of the Foundation.
