That is to say, scientific development does not necessarily conform to the spirit of science, and scientific development in practice often subverts the spirit of science.
One, scientific development cannot solve all problems.
Two, scientific development is exaggerated and misplaced beliefs.
Three, the inverse relationship between scientific development and human happiness.
Four, the high speed of scientific development is the main cause of the unbearable weight of the earth. Using scientific development to solve the geometric development of mankind is drinking hemlock.

Scientific development is utilitarian. The goal of scientific development is not the truth, but the power and ability of human beings to control things. Scientific research, which seems to have no utilitarian purpose, is not only in fact the basis and preparation for technological activities, but also in its conceptual form it has come to understand the world as an external, ready-made, mechanical thing, and therefore something that can be slaughtered, transformed, and ruled.
Scientific and technological activities are essentially the same, i.e., the act of scheming to satisfy human desires and to realize human will. Accurate prediction and control at will will always be the highest mark of success in scientific and technological activities. The development of science does not imply a grasp of truth and a truthful understanding of the world.
Scientific development, which is often closely linked to mankind's soaring greed, desire for power, and fascination with the present life, does not in itself bring light and happiness to mankind.
The nature of scientific development is most clearly demonstrated in the famous words of Francis Bacon, one of the founders of the modern scientific tradition: "Knowledge is power." Scientific development is man's way of demonstrating his ability to dominate the planet, and the utilitarian nature of his power and strength is very clear.
In contrast to ancient Greek philosophy, which sought truth, medieval European theology, which sought salvation, ancient Chinese Confucianism, which sought to rule the country and pacify the world, and Taoism, which attempted to achieve immortality, the most significant feature of modern scientific development is the infinitely expanding desire for conquest, the highly systematic pursuit of utility.
Science is responsible for discovering the so-called pattern of change in the movement of things. And this law of change of movement is precisely the law by which human beings transform the state of things.
Early scientists such as Galileo very keenly aware of the limits of scientific activity, always wisely avoid the "essence" of the problem, to limit their efforts to the mathematical description of physical phenomena. Marx's famous saying: "Philosophers are always trying to explain the world in different ways, but the important thing is how to change the world" is typical of the values of science. best typifies the values of science.
The most basic presuppositional assumption of scientific activity is that there exists an objective world outside of the subject who can know the world that exists independently of the subject's will. This assumption is the basis of all scientific research. This assumption consists of two parts:
A, the existence of the objective world in opposition to the subject and the state of its existence are not related to the subject.
B, the existence of a pure subject in opposition to the objective world and its state of being are independent of the objective world.
However, the objective assumption is unprovable and it is the belief on which scientific activity is based. It gives science an apparent "objectivity". It can never be proved by any scientific experiment, because the legitimacy of the scientific experiment itself presupposes this assumption. Only if there is an objective world can scientific experiments truly reveal objective "truth".
How can mankind prove that it is not a "brain in a jar" as explained in The Matrix, or that the universe is just a glass sphere in the hands of an alien creature as shown at the end of Agents of the Dark Side?
The presumption of objectivity cannot be proven by logical reasoning. Any reasoning that introduces the presumption of objectivity already contains that presumption in its premises. If the assumption is denied, no self-contradictory proposition is introduced. For example, the assumption that the world is fictional, a complete fantasy dream, or that the world is subject-dependent would not in any way violate logic.
The assumption of a pure, eternal subject is likewise the basis of scientific activity. It gives scientific activity an ostensibly pure, eternal character. The assumption of the pure subject requires that scientific truth must be universal, assuming that everyone has equal qualifications and power to approach the truth.
The existence of the pure subject cannot be proved experimentally at all; it cannot even be the object of scientific research; it forever escapes the horizon of scientific research. The horizon of scientific research is defined by it.
The purely objective scientific development is fictitious and non-existent. Scientific development has never followed its so-called "spirit of science" as it is labeled.
For example: purely objective facts of observation do not exist. Observation is always permeated by theory, by the understanding of the observer. For, visual experience is not determined by the image on the retina alone. The neuroelectric activity that is transformed from the stimuli received by the optic nerve to the cerebral cortex is subject to the influence of the state of consciousness. The representation of visual experience depends on specific theories and terminology. The desires, understandings, and conjectures of the observer determine the content, object, and angle and level of observation.
Scientific theories examine the qualifications of observational facts. One-time, unrepeatable observational facts that conflict with scientific assumptions are rejected or accused of being hoaxes, hallucinations, or simply ignored
