Staroflife is an international symbol of emergency medical ambulance service system (EMS), which can be found on ambulances, ambulance helicopters, ambulance equipment and uniforms of ambulance technicians.
Staroflife was designed by Mr. Schwartz, the head of the emergency medical rescue department (LEOR) of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, as of 1973 (the American Emergency Medical Rescue Act EMSACT was also promulgated in the same year).
