In order to meet the needs of the basic work of the hospital and to reach the international level in the specialty of oncology, the hospital has introduced at home and abroad the latest, the highest speed and the highest resolution of PET-CT, VMAT radiotherapy system, endobronchial ultrasound bronchoscopy (EBUS) for clinical diagnosis, treatment, teaching and scientific research to provide a modern means of diagnosis and treatment.
The 64-row PET-CT, the most advanced one in the province, which is manufactured by GE, is the best equipment for diagnosing and guiding the treatment of tumors. It can accurately identify benign and malignant tumors; accurately evaluate the efficacy of tumor treatment; timely and early detection of recurrence and metastatic lesions during regular review and follow-up of cured tumor patients; and early detection of malignant tumors during screening and physical examination of high-risk groups.
VMAT (Volumetric Arc Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy) system is the latest international radiation therapy platform introduced into our hospital in 2010, which can greatly shorten the time of tumor radiotherapy, determine the radiation area more accurately, and adjust the dose of radiation with the thickness of the tumor tissues, so as to improve the efficiency of tumor treatment, and at the same time reduce the chance of complications in normal tissues, so as to make the tumor treatment more effective. At the same time, it reduces the chance of normal tissue complications and minimizes the toxic side effects of radiotherapy. The citation of this equipment and the development of this technology have determined the domestic first-class and international leading level of tumor radiotherapy in our hospital.
The ultrasonic bronchial endoscope (EBUS) newly introduced in our hospital is the most advanced endobronchial ultrasonic examination equipment in the province. This equipment can obtain ultrasound images of the wall, peritubular lesions and mediastinal lymph nodes through the ultrasound probe connected to the lens terminal and perform guided puncture biopsy of the lesions, which can quickly and accurately diagnose lung cancer, mediastinal lymphoma and other malignant tumors, and solves the problem of difficult to take the material from the masses outside the lumen of the bronchial tubes by ordinary bronchoscopes, which is difficult to confirm the diagnosis.
