The difference between miniled and oled

The display principle of MiniLED is different from that of organic light emitting diode.

MiniLED and organic light-emitting diode are essentially different in display principle. MiniLED is still a display technology based on LCD, which needs to be equipped with LED backlight module, while organic light-emitting diodes have the characteristics of self-luminous pixels and do not need backlight. The biggest feature of organic light-emitting diodes is self-luminescence, and each pixel behind the screen can be controlled independently, so they perform well in brightness and contrast, and are favored by mobile phone manufacturers because of their thinness and flexibility.

MiniLED, as a new panel backlight technology of LCD display technology, uses a smaller diode light source, which means more dimming areas will appear in the same area. Compared with organic light-emitting diodes, MiniLED can bring ultra-high contrast, ultra-high brightness and ultra-high color gamut, and even the problems of afterimage and screen burning caused by long-term opening of organic light-emitting diodes will not occur. Therefore, MiniLED technology is more suitable for large-screen display devices.

Introduction of LED

Light-emitting diode (LED) is a commonly used light-emitting device, which releases energy through the recombination of electrons and holes, and is widely used in the lighting field. Light-emitting diodes (LEDs) can efficiently convert electric energy into light energy, and are widely used in modern society, such as lighting, flat panel display, medical devices and so on. This electronic component appeared as early as 1962. In the early days, it could only emit red light with low luminosity, and later other monochrome versions were developed.

Now the light that can be emitted has spread all over visible light, infrared light and ultraviolet light, and the luminosity has also been improved to a considerable extent. LED was originally used for indicating lighting of instruments and meters, and then extended to traffic lights; Then go to landscape lighting, car lighting and mobile phone keyboard and backlight. With the continuous progress of technology, light-emitting diodes have been widely used in the fields of display and lighting.
