1. What is a comprehensive pension institution?
Comprehensive pension institutions are the most common types of pension institutions in China. What we usually call "welfare homes", "nursing homes", "nursing homes", "elderly care centers" and "elderly apartments" provide services that cover almost all aspects of supporting and caring for the elderly. We collectively refer to these institutions as comprehensive pension institutions. Its basic services include: daily diet, life service, life assistance, nursing service, health management, culture and entertainment, emergency medical assistance, etc. Its charging level depends on: nursing level, service level, room size, room type, hardware facilities, geographical location and so on. One month's fee consists of (bed fee+nursing fee+food fee). Compared with professional nursing institutions, such as nursing homes, disability/cognitive nursing or continuous care retirement community (CCRC), the fees charged by comprehensive nursing institutions are lower than the average. The difference between nursing homes and disability/cognitive nursing institutions: Nursing homes emphasize medical functions such as diseases, chronic diseases, injury rehabilitation, postoperative rehabilitation and hospice care. Disability/cognitive nursing institutions pay more attention to life care and nursing services.
Second, the charge of nursing homes depends on the level of care.
In other words, it depends on the evaluation results of the life activities of the elderly by the old-age care institutions or other third parties. At present, most domestic pension institutions have their own evaluation criteria. Taking care of the elderly is from easy to difficult, and the labor cost is increasing step by step from low to high. Elderly people who can take care of themselves generally do not charge nursing fees or charge lower living service fees. With the change of nursing level, the nursing fee will be re-evaluated and adjusted with the living ability of the elderly.
