Shaoyang Medical College Affiliated Hospital was founded in 1984, and was renamed Shaoyang Medical College Affiliated Hospital in 2004 due to the upgrading of the school from the former Shaoyang Health School Affiliated Hospital to Shaoyang Medical College Affiliated Hospital, which is a government-organized public welfare institution for the whole population.
