Interviews with multinational corporations

Multinational corporations have their own specialties when it comes to recruiting, and you should be able to adapt according to the other party's arrangement. After interviewing with several multinationals, Godix summarized some valuable interview tips.

Think differently, if you are the interviewer ......

When I was an intern at a multinational company, I had the honor of being the interviewer. This experience allowed me to realize that the interviewer's view of many issues is very different from that of the candidate. Before applying for a job, you may want to think differently, if you are the interviewer, what kind of person do you want to recruit? This person needs to have what skills, what qualities? What aspects to be examined? Think clearly about these, prepare for the interview, answer questions will be more targeted. Interviews are like playing tai chi, to learn to "see the moves".

All aspects, not as focused on showing a certain side

The theory of the interview is mainly divided into two schools: one is the skill school, advocating the use of a variety of skills in the interview to pack their own; the other is the color school, advocating the "be yourself", show the true side of me. The other is the "be yourself" school, which advocates "be yourself" to show your true self. In fact, there are limitations to both of these ideas. In my opinion, the interview should show the real me, but also to cast the other side, that is, according to the company and the needs of the position, focusing on showing the interviewer is most concerned about a certain aspect of the ability, and amplify these abilities. When I applied for bcg, I tried to minimize my technical background in my resume and focused on my internship at a famous consulting firm and my participation in business competitions. During the interview, I emphasized my business knowledge and logical reasoning skills. It's better to focus on one aspect than the other, and that's how you impress the interviewer in a limited amount of time.

It's better to do it on the fly

In the process of looking for a job, all kinds of internships have added a lot of color to me, especially those of well-known companies such as GE and Siemens, which have been of great benefit to me. This is also one of the reasons why I appear to be more professional in my job application. Rather than trying to figure out job search techniques on the fly, it's better to start practicing early and diligently.
