SolidWorks (SW) is a new generation of Dassault Aviation's mechanical 3D design tool for the electrical industry. solidWorks Chinese version of the new parallel and serial product development environment and *** enjoy 3DCAD models, and is widely used in the design of parts, design of machinery and equipment, medical equipment, automotive, aerospace and other industries; solidWorks can meet the user directly add a variety of auxiliary plug-ins, connect to a variety of NC programming software and print the model directly. Industry; SolidWorks can meet the user directly in the software to add a variety of auxiliary plug-ins, connect a variety of NC programming software and directly print the model of the use of demand. About the power of solidworks, in fact, I believe that many partners also have a certain understanding, but for the mastery of the software as well as the use of the software, may be a lot of partners are still scratching their heads! Creating Custom Templates in SOLIDWORKSElectrical
Each company has different needs for communicating their electrical designs, and it is essential to create custom templates in SOLIDWORKSElectrical. Most software use a special file format for their templates, that is, they use specialized suffixes. For example, in SOLIDWORKS, *.SLDPRT is used as a part file, while *.prtdot is used as a part template; similar to MSWord, which uses .DOTX model and .docx files.
Similar to other software, SOLIDWORKSElectrical's templates contain the underlying formatting and layout from which any new document is created. Because SOLIDWORKSElectrical is a MicrosoftSQL database-based software, Electrical does not use specific template files, but rather "project templates". While the end result is similar, the way this method is used to create and edit templates is different. In SOLIDWORKSElectrical, templates include project books, title blocks and components for drawing boundaries, reports, symbols, cable/wire types, component manufacturers, and other appliances.
1. Templates come from a Create Blank or Edit Existing Templates, either of which uses the same method as follows:
Start creating or editing your paradigm from the Project Manager. You can select an existing project template or choose <Empty Project>.
2. Next, select the language you want to use for this particular template. The <1> indicates the number of project languages it uses, with at least one language to use as a template description in bold. If you are starting from an ANSI project (as in Figure 2 above) or an <empty project>, you will be prompted to select a project language; if you are making a project template from an existing project, you will not be prompted to enter a project language.
3. Then fill in the options in the project attribute card, the attributes filled in will be brought into the project, and then the resulting drawing frame information will also be automatically brought in (to be set up after the frame template).
4. After proceeding to the next step, you can start customizing the rest of the project. With a right mouse click, you can add additional sets of files (books) or folders (folders). Manage and categorize the desired project folders exactly according to your needs. The following figure (6) shows a schematic with the categorization already done.
5. Command toolbar in the "Project" page, click "Configuration", you can modify any project settings in any setting, including the use of language, units, revision of the display format and so on. This is shown in the image below.
Note that the frame settings, in the frame settings page, we can set up a variety of different drawings used in various frames, as shown in the following figure, the schematic currently uses the frame for the 10 columns (English). To change the preset frame in the right side of the "Select" in the mouse click, the frame selector appears. Select the frame you want (e.g. A35 rows and 10 columns). If you do not want the frame must be built in the database, but there is a well established frame can be used in the frame selector.
6. After setting up the desired project, save the project as a project template. From the File tab of the Command toolbar, select the Project Manager tool. When the window opens, the template project will appear blue if you have not already closed the project in the left panel item of the project. You can click on this item and then click the "Close" button at the top.
After you close the project, the project will show "Please enter text, URL" in black letters, and you can also translate the file. You can now choose to "Save as Template". You will be prompted to give your custom project template a special name to help you identify it and the project will be archived as a project template.
