Wuhan University School of Medicine forensic forensic identification is based on the Department of Forensic Medicine of Wuhan University School of Medicine, combined with Wuhan University colleges and departments of the relevant professionals and equipment set up. In 2002, in accordance with the provisions of the Department of Justice - Law - to the Hubei Provincial Department of Justice to apply for legal registration (License No.: 420007013), appraisal of the scope of business, including forensic clinical science, forensic pathology, forensic forensic forensic evidence and forensic toxicological analysis. The Institute now has 12 personnel with licenses to practice forensic identification and 10 other auxiliary personnel. Among them, 2 professors (1 doctoral supervisor, 1 master's supervisor), 3 associate professors, 4 appraisers with a doctoral degree, the Chinese Society of Forensic Science Clinical Forensic Specialty Committee Chairman Professor Qin Qisheng (retired) as a technical adviser.
The Department of Forensic Medicine of Wuhan University has been engaged in forensic identification work for more than twenty years of history, *** identification of cases reached more than 30,000 cases. Cases involving Wuhan City, Hubei Sheng national, and even international cases of identification (once commissioned by the French Department of Justice - Law - identification). In the past three years, the average annual appraisal cases in about two thousand. There are more than 20 sets of large-scale specialized instruments such as sectioning machines, automatic dehydrators, gas chromatographs, DNA sequencers, PCR amplifiers and so on. At the same time, all the medical equipments of the three affiliated hospitals of Wuhan University can provide scientific and technological services for forensic identification. The Institute has three motorized vehicles, which can guarantee the `need' of appearing taste investigation, visiting and appearing in court.
Our appraisal staff, edited or co-edited forensic science monographs, textbooks more than 20, published more than 100 papers (SCI 10 papers), undertake national and provincial scientific research projects more than 20, access to national, Ministry of Education, Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, Teaching Achievement Award and other awards more than 10.
For forensic pathology, the Institute is the designated autopsy organization for medical disputes by the Department of Health of Hubei Province and the Wuhan Municipal Health Bureau. It has provided more than 5,000 appraisal services for public security, procuratorate and court departments, especially in traffic accident deaths and sudden deaths from coronary heart disease, etc. It has a national leading level. Participated in the preparation of the chapter "Mechanical Injury" of the national unified textbook, which is the core content of forensic pathology. He has organized five national forensic pathology training courses.
Clinical forensic medicine, the Institute has identified more than 20,000 cases, involving the degree of injury identification, disability level identification, identification of late medical costs, identification of new and old injuries, damage identification and other clinical forensic medicine, and has accumulated a wealth of experience. Hubei Provincial People's Hospital affiliated to Wuhan University, Zhongnan Hospital and Stomatology provide a solid guarantee for forensic identification. In medical accident appraisal, all the appraisers above the vice senior title of our institute are members of the medical accident appraisal expert pool of Hubei Provincial Medical Association and Wuhan Municipal Medical Association, and they participate in appraisal cases for more than one hundred times a year. Commissioned by the Hubei Provincial Department of Justice, has organized two training courses on the basics of clinical forensic science, training students more than a hundred people.
Forensic physical evidence, the Institute has identified more than five hundred cases, mainly involved in paternity testing and blood type identification. The Hubei Provincial People's Hospital affiliated with Wuhan University and the Central South Hospital are able to engage in paternity testing.
Forensic Toxicology Laboratory mainly identifies alcohol concentration, qualitative and quantitative determination of common poisons.
Since the promulgation of the Decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on the Management of Forensic Identification, the Institute has given full play to the advantages of high-quality talents gathered in well-known universities and precision instruments, and has provided forensic forensic identification services for all sectors of the population in Hubei Province and even across the country. At the same time, we are also conscious of our leading role in the province. Not only do their own identification work, but also actively organize identification procedures, identification standards of the province's standardization work, and guide the identification of grass-roots forensic forensic identification work.
