The institute has strong technical force, advanced equipment and complete specialties. The institute consists of urban planning research center, audit center and 15 design institutes and rooms (urban planning design research one, two, three, four, five; engineering planning and design research institute; architectural design research one, two, three, four; engineering equipment and intelligent design research institute; municipal engineering design research institute; urban environment and landscape gardening design research one, two; budget room). The institute has 271 employees, including 28 professor-level senior engineers, 74 senior engineers, 93 engineers; 47 registered planners, 16 first-class registered architects, 1 second-class registered architects; 16 first-class registered structural engineers; 2 registered cost engineers; 21 registered public equipment engineers; 6 registered electrical engineers; 12 registered engineering consultants. The whole institute is equipped with the specialties of urban planning, landscape architecture, architecture, structure, water supply and drainage, electrical, HVAC, road traffic, gas, economic analysis and so on. Our institute was named by the Ministry of Construction as the national urban planning industry, the application of new technologies and the national urban and rural planning work excellent preparation unit, is the national CAD application project demonstration site identified by the Ministry of Science and Technology, is one of the top ten comprehensive strength of the survey and design units in Zhejiang Province.
The institute has always adhered to the policy of "scientific planning, careful design", since its establishment, more than 130 planning and design projects were awarded the national, provincial and ministerial level excellent planning and design, scientific and technological progress awards. The main award-winning projects are: Zhejiang Province, town system planning, spatial development planning of the Hangzhou Bay urban agglomeration, Jinhua City Master Plan, Taizhou City Master Plan, Yiwu City Master Plan, Zhuji City, Wuchi Town Master Plan, Hangzhou Meijiawu old village remediation planning and design, Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress Hall relocation project, Taizhou City, Taizhou City, Administrative Center, Zhejiang Forestry College, architectural design, Zhejiang Provincial Urban Storm Water Intensity formula research and Zhejiang Provincial water supply and drainage infrastructure formula. Research and development strategy of water supply and drainage infrastructure in Zhejiang Province, Lishui city sewage treatment project, Jiangshan City, Dachen Township, Dachen Village village remediation planning and so on.
The institute gives full play to the comprehensive advantages of planning, architecture, municipal, landscape gardening multi-disciplinary, focusing on active participation in major projects within and outside the province bidding, and more planning and design projects won the bidding to obtain the right to plan and design, such as: Hangzhou Xiasha New City planning, Hangzhou Qianjiang Century City control detailed planning, Hangzhou West Lake Avenue city design, Zhejiang Forestry College planning and architectural design, Hangzhou Cartoon City Creative Center Engineering Design, Ninghai World Trade Center Engineering Design and so on.
The institute passed the ISO9001-1994 quality system certification in July 2001, and in May 2003, it passed the ISO9001:2000 quality management system certification.
