Synopsis
In the early 1900's, the Nightingale 229, a medical lifeboat, is on a routine tour of deep space. routine tour of deep space. The silent, lonely ship is staffed by six members: Captain A.J. Mallory, his second-in-command Nick Versant, attending physician Kira Evans, computer engineer Ben Sotomayor, medical doctor Yelji Penalosa, and Danick Rhodes.
On their rounds, they discover that a star millions of light-years away from them is erupting with strange, alien material, and several people are momentarily at a loss as to what to do with it, just as they receive an urgent call for help, and despite the danger, the members of the rescue team have no choice but to go to the rescue.
The stumbling ship finally approached the center of that eruption, and immediately they were caught in the gravitational pull of a massive blue star. Here, they rescue a mysterious young man named Carl Larson. Larson, a mysterious and sinister young man who they sense could be a danger to the ship's crew at any time. And on top of that, the members of the Nightingale have to contend with a massive cosmic gravitational force.
The people aboard the ship are facing death. The survivors must escape the gravitational pull of this star and return to the galaxy, because, at any moment, the eruption of this massive supernova could happen ......
