How to solve the sudden failure of headlights;
1, check the brake bulb
Brake lights are used most frequently in cars, and the service life of light bulbs is relatively short. When the brake lights don't work in a car, the first thing that comes to mind is to brake the light bulbs and replace them.
2. Check the brake light switch.
If the brake light switch is faulty, all the brake lights will not light up. During maintenance, the brake light switch can be connected by wires. If the brake light is on, it means that the switch is broken, and replacing the switch can solve the problem.
3, check the fuse
After confirming that there is nothing wrong with the light bulb and switch, it is necessary to check the fuse. Some cars do not have a separate brake light fuse, but use the fuse together with other electrical equipment. At this point, you can check the working conditions of other electrical equipment in the car, check out the electrical equipment that is not working and replace the corresponding fuse.
4. Check the brake light grounding wire.
Car taillights use ground wires. If the ground wire is broken or virtually connected, the brake light will not light up, so don't forget to check the ground wire.
5. Check the plug of the brake light harness.
According to the circuit diagram, find out the plug in the brake light harness, unplug the plug, and observe whether the pin angle in the plug is loose or corroded. If there is any corresponding pin angle or "flying wire", solve the fault.
6. There is an open circuit in the brake light harness.
It's a simple problem that the brake light doesn't work, but sometimes technicians replace or check the light bulb, switch, safety and plug, and the fault still exists. At this time, check the brake light harness step by step. You can first measure whether the harness from the switch to the plug is conductive, and then measure whether the harness from the plug to the bulb is normal, which can gradually narrow the inspection scope and finally find the fault point.
