Social Responsibility of BGG

BGG attributes its development to the sunshine opportunity of reform and opening up and the blessing of all sectors of the society, abides by the law, pays taxes in accordance with the law, is honest, and actively undertakes corporate social responsibility.

BGY and Mr. Yang Guoqiang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BGY, are enthusiastic about public welfare and charitable undertakings, and have donated more than 1.7 billion yuan for education, poverty alleviation, medical care, disaster relief and other public welfare undertakings over the years; they also actively advocate the philanthropic concepts of "Passing on Gratitude" and "Teaching a Man to Fish". It also actively advocates the concepts of "passing on gratitude" and "teaching people how to fish"; explores charitable models in line with China's national conditions, and maximizes the benefits of charity.

Ten years, one billion yuan to participate in philanthropy

On January 10, 2012, at a symposium of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Yang promised that "in the next ten years, he and his daughter, Yang Huiyan, will take another one billion yuan, one hundred million yuan each year, specifically for poverty alleviation". This move was once again highly praised by the leaders of the provincial party committee and the provincial government.

Participation in "Poverty Alleviation and Relief" Activities

In June 2010, "Guangdong Poverty Alleviation and Relief Day" was launched; BGI and its Chairman Mr. Yang Guoqiang promised to donate 200 million yuan in four years from June 2010 to June 2014 to help the poor in Guangdong. Mr. Yeung Kwok Keung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BGI, pledged to donate RMB 200 million yuan in four years from June 2010 to June 2014 to various charitable causes in Guangdong. At the same time, Mr. Yeung was personally involved in poverty alleviation work in poor areas such as Shushan Village in Qingyuan and Xiashuai Township in Huaji, Zhaoqing.

In March 2011, in response to the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee's opinion on rural poverty alleviation, BGI decided to help Huadu Tiemian Township, with an estimated investment of about RMB 210 million. Mr. Yang Guoqiang said that BGY will participate in the planning, design and construction of infrastructure projects in Tiemian Town, focusing on giving strong support in improving people's livelihood and public **** infrastructure; and find ways to develop a poverty alleviation program more suitable for the actual situation in Tiemian, to achieve blood-forming poverty alleviation, sustainable development, driving farmers' employment, and raising the level of income generation and enrichment.

On April 12, 2011, Wang Yang, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the *** Central Committee and Secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, visited the poverty alleviation site of BGI - Shushan Village in Qingyuan, and said, "We have to thank entrepreneurs with a sense of social responsibility represented by Yang Guoqiang, who, after getting rich by their hard work, then help people to get rich. We should be grateful to such people and hope that more people will learn from him.

After the 5.12 earthquake in 2008, Cinnamon family directly donated about 50 million yuan; at the same time, about 1,500 teachers and students from Sangping Middle School in Wenchuan were accepted to resume classes at Cinnamon School in a different location. in July 2009, the project was awarded the "Outstanding Contribution to the Chinese Charity Project Award" issued by China Charity Federation.

In 2007, BGI pledged to donate 200 million RMB in four years to help the two poor counties of Mabian and Ganluo in Sichuan in terms of mountain migration, village roads, education facilities construction, and improvement of medical and health conditions. Over the past four years, tens of thousands of poor people in the two counties have benefited directly, and production and living conditions have been greatly improved.

In 2002, Mr. Yeung Kwok Keung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BGI, invested RMB 260 million yuan to establish the purely charitable and totally free Guohua Memorial Middle School, which recruits outstanding junior high school graduates who have dropped out of school due to poverty, and has so far recruited more than 1,500 students; the school spends about RMB 40 million yuan annually.

List of other charities

In 1997, the Chung Ming Scholarship was created to subsidize impoverished students from colleges and universities in Guangdong Province to complete their studies. As of 2010, about 6,000 poor college students have received financial assistance.

In 2007, donated more than 100 million yuan to support the construction of Tsinghua University, Peking University and Sun Yat-sen University.

In 2007, in response to the State Council's Raindrop Program, the company donated 55 million yuan to build the purely charitable, totally free Guoliang Vocational Training School, which systematically trains retired soldiers from impoverished areas.

Donated 50 million yuan for the public welfare of Zengcheng City to build Zengcheng Licheng Square.

Donated 35 million RMB to Yusei Entrepreneurs Poverty Alleviation Foundation for poverty alleviation.

Donated 30 million yuan to support the Shunde First People's Hospital to build a new hospital on a new site.
