SolidStateDisk (SSD), also known as SolidStateDrive, is a hard disk made of solid-state electronic memory chip array.
Introduction:
Because in Taiwan Province English, solid capacitors are called solids. Ssd consists of control unit and storage unit (FLASH chip and DRAM chip).
Ssd(Solidstatedisk) hard disk and ordinary hard disk are the same in interface specification, definition, function and usage. The overall dimensions of the product are basically the same as those of ordinary hard disks (the emerging ssd hard disks such as U.2 and M.2 are completely different from SATA mechanical hard disks).
Widely used in military, vehicle, industrial control, video monitoring, network monitoring, network terminals, electric power, medical care, aviation, navigation equipment and many other fields.
The working temperature range of the chip is very wide, from 0 ~ 70℃ for commercial products to -40 ~ 85℃ for industrial products. Although the cost is high, it is spreading to DIY market.
Because SSD technology is different from traditional hard disk technology, many new memory vendors have emerged. What manufacturers need to do is to buy NAND particles, add appropriate control chips, write codes for the main controller, and make solid state drives.
