China's chemical fiber history
In 1976, the Cultural Revolution ended. China began to turn to economic construction as the center, in the initial introduction of 13 sets of major equipment there are several chemical fiber products involving petrochemicals. For example, Liaoyang Chemical Fiber Plant and Jiangsu Yizheng Chemical Fiber Plant.
In 1991, I served as director of the State Planning Commission Investment Division of raw materials and processing industry, Yizheng Chemical Fiber Plant is China's largest chemical fiber production enterprises, the plant director Ren Jun was transferred from Liaoyang Chemical Fiber Plant, and later served as vice minister of the Ministry of Textiles, Sinopec deputy general manager. At that time, Yizheng Chemical Fiber Plant was nine units, each unit of 60,000 tons of polyester production capacity, later upgraded to 90,000 tons.
The raw material for polyester, purified terephthalic acid (PTA), was supplied by a 225,000-ton PTA unit with an annual production capacity of 225,000 tons at Yangzi Ethylene, a neighboring plant belonging to Sinopec. At that time, 225,000 tons of PTA and 60,000 tons of polyester are the largest, and all the equipment is imported. At that time, polyester, filament and staple yarn were in short supply in the market.
The eighties and nineties of the last century, around a number of 60,000 tons of polyester and 225,000 tons of PTA project. For example, the local state-owned enterprises in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, Zhejiang Chemical Union, Hunan Xiangtan polyester and Haikou polyester in Hainan Province, etc., these enterprises were once brilliant for a while, but unfortunately, later in the development of the tide of the device appears to lag behind, and some of them went bankrupt.
This period, foreign-invested chemical fiber raw materials enterprises have also built up, such as Zhuhai, the United States Amoco's 225,000 tons of PTA (now belongs to BP), Xiamen's Taiwan-funded enterprises, such as Xianglu. A number of private chemical fiber enterprises also grew up, and to the majority of Jiangsu and Zhejiang, such as Zhejiang Rongsheng Petrochemical, Zhejiang Hengyi Chemical Fiber, Jiangsu Sanfangxiang, and so on.
Later, some private chemical fiber raw material production enterprises actually exceeded the state-owned enterprises, when the heyday of Yizheng Chemical Fiber is no longer the industry leader. And private enterprises in Zhejiang Hengyi polyester production capacity of 3.7 million tons, more than Yizheng Chemical Fiber.
In this development process, the localization of production equipment and large-scale production plays an important role. Before 1999, 60 polyester production lines are all introduced, and then vigorously grasp the localization of chemical fiber equipment, a single set of polyester production capacity of up to 300,000 tons, only after the localization of the reduction in prices for enterprises to save at least more than 100 billion yuan of investment.
At the same time, also exported to India 900 tons / day capacity of polyester equipment.
In 2002, the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Finance allocated special funds to support the research and development of the localization of PTA as a raw material for polyester, and China has successfully developed a million-ton per year production unit with a maximum capacity of 1.5 million tons per year, and the price of the equipment has been reduced by 40%. Privately owned Yisheng Petrochemical has become the world's largest PTA producer, with an annual production capacity of 13.5 million tons.
China jumped to become the world's largest producer of chemical fibers, but also an important producer of chemical fiber equipment, which makes chemical fibers accounted for 80.4% of all textile raw materials, and no longer compete with food for land.
Expanded Information:
Development of Chemical Fiber
With global chemical fiber production further shifting to China, China has become the world's largest chemical fiber producer. China's chemical fiber production accounts for more than 60% of the global total. China's chemical fiber industry has continued to develop rapidly, its comprehensive competitiveness has improved significantly, and it has fully accomplished all the objectives and tasks of the plan, vigorously promoted and supported the development of the textile industry and related industries, and further enhanced its status and role in the world's chemical fiber industry.
