Chengdu Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine is a large-scale modern general hospital in Chengdu, which is characterized by integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine. The hospital was founded in 1942, named Chengdu Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine by its superiors in 1985, baby-friendly in September 1994, approved by state administration of traditional chinese medicine in April 1995 as "the national base for the reform of traditional Chinese medicine preparations and dosage forms", rated as a third-class first-class hospital of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine in October 1995, and in 1999.
The hospital has a complete set of departments and a complete classification of specialties. At present, there are 17 wards including internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, obstetrics, pediatrics, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, acupuncture and tumor, and 32 corresponding secondary specialties.
