Electrophoretic coating is a special coating film formation method developed in the past 30 years. It is the most practical construction technology for water-based coatings. The main features of electrophoretic coating
(1) Electrophoretic coating can be completely dissolved and emulsified in water, and the viscosity of the prepared bath liquid is very low, almost the same as water. It easily penetrates into the cavity structure and gaps of the car body (subject to be coated) immersed in the bath fluid.
(2) The electrophoresis tank liquid has high conductivity, and the paint particles can be active and perpetually moving and deposited on the object to be coated. The conductivity of the wet coating film is small. As the wet coating film thickens, its resistance increases. When it reaches a certain resistance value, it will no longer be electrodeposited. Based on these two points, electrographic swimwear has good permeability and can produce a relatively uniform coating film.
(3) The solid content of the tank liquid is low, the viscosity is small, and there is less paint taken out of the tank by the car body, and it can be recycled by an ultrafiltration (UF) device and a reverse osmosis (RO) device.
(4) The coating film has strong adhesion and high rust resistance (the salt spray corrosion resistance of the 20μm thick anodic electrophoretic coating film is more than 300h, and the salt spray corrosion resistance of the cathodic electrophoretic coating film is more than 1000h ).
(5) The solvent (water-soluble solvent) content of the electrophoresis tank liquid is small and cannot be burned even with a blowtorch, so there is less worry about on-site fires and explosions.
