A study on oil sludge treatment was conducted in China in 2004. Bioremediation with the addition of biological additives was compared with traditional composting. Oil-containing sludge and oil-contaminated soil were taken from an oil field. The total hydrocarbon content of the dry sludge was 327.7
-371.2 g kg-1, and that of the oil-contaminated soil was 151.0
g kg-1. Different proportions of straw stalks, wood chips, sand, and pure oil were added to the sludge and the soil and mixed homogeneously prior to the application of additives. These sludge and soil fractions were used for uncontrolled treatment and treatment by activation of existing microorganisms. While in composting, manure and wood chips were added to the sludge with a total hydrocarbon content of 101.4
g-kg-1. The bioadditives were used every 2 weeks while the experiment lasted for 56 days at ambient temperature. The sludge was mixed with water every 3 days. The total hydrocarbon content of the oily sludge and soil was reduced by 46-53% after 3 additions of bio-additives, by 13-23% after activation of the original microbial treatment, and there was no oil degradation without controlled treatment. By composting, then the total hydrocarbon content in oily sludge was reduced by 31%. The above phenomena indicate that bioremediation can be used as an effective and equally economical method for the treatment of oily sludge.

Decanter centrifuge
Horizontal screw discharge sedimentation centrifuge (decanter centrifuge for short) is a device that utilizes the principle of centrifugal sedimentation to separate suspensions. The equivalent diameter of solid-phase particles = 3um, weight concentration ratio: 10% or volume concentration ratio = 70%, the specific gravity difference between liquid and solid: 0.05g/cm3 are suitable for the use of this type of centrifuge for liquid-solid separation or particle classification.
Sludge conveying system
Consisting of receiving bin, screw feeder, plug valve, sludge pump and pipeline. The hydraulic part of the whole system adopts Italian pumps and valves. The screw feeder is connected to the silo with a plug valve for easy maintenance. The pusher adopts the design of S swing pipe. The sludge cake with about 85% water content is unloaded into the silo by trucks, fed into the hydraulic pusher through the screw feeder, and the pusher conveys the sludge through the pipeline, the whole process is odorless, and it can realize long-distance and large head conveying without polluting the environment at the same time. The pipeline can be set flexibly according to the building structure, the conveying volume is accurate, equipped with communication interface to realize remote control. Also can choose belt, bucket lifting and other traditional conveying methods.
