How to choose UV curing equipment

Choose from these five parts:

First, the light source part

This part is mainly composed of UV lamp, lampshade, ballast, trigger and other components.

At present, domestic curing machines mainly use high-pressure mercury lamps (uv ultraviolet curing lamps) as ultraviolet light sources. High-pressure mercury lamp is relatively cheap, with a high peak value in the range of 343 ~ 380nm (our company generally uses 365nm), so it is widely used. There are many manufacturers of high-pressure mercury lamps in China, and their manufacturing processes vary greatly. The main difference is the material used in the lamp, and the service life of the lamp is generally between 600- 1000 hours. The UV machine produced by our company adopts UVTANG brand high-pressure mercury lamp, and the working time is guaranteed to be above 800 hours (primarc imported from Britain is also needed, and the service life of the lamp is guaranteed to be above 1000 hours). After reaching the service life of the UV lamp, it is recommended to replace it immediately, because the light intensity of the UV lamp will be weakened at this time, which will affect the curing effect. In addition, the number and power of lamps contained in a curing machine are not as much as possible, and should be selected according to the actual needs of their own production, otherwise the power of UV lamps will affect the curing effect of products.

The reflector of UV lamp must be made of aluminum, not iron or stainless steel, because stainless steel will turn black at high temperature, which will not only reflect light, but also absorb light. The mirror alumina plate has the best reflection effect, and its reflectivity can reach more than 80%, which greatly improves the utilization rate of ultraviolet rays. The reflector is generally semi-circular in shape to ensure that the ultraviolet light can gather together, and attention should be paid to the installation position of the ultraviolet lamp tube to ensure its focus alignment.

Taking the UV machine produced by our company as an example, a special reflective aluminum cover is used, and its outer side is processed into the shape of a radiator, which greatly increases the heat dissipation area. Practice has proved that this reflector not only has excellent focusing effect, but also plays a good role in heat dissipation. The ballast and capacitor of UV lamp should be selected according to the power of UV lamp to ensure that the lamp can work at full power and will not burn out. For some requirements, we can choose our new UV electronic frequency conversion power supply instead of UV ballast and capacitor to achieve better energy-saving effect, saving about 20%~30% electricity every month, and many customers are using it.

Second, the ventilation part.

This part is mainly composed of fan, draft tube, wind collecting hood and other parts. Different UV machines have different fan configurations. The power selection of the fan is determined according to the power of the UV lamp and the box space. If you use a high-power UV lamp and a low-power fan, there will be heat dissipation problems, and the high temperature in the machine will shorten the life of a series of parts. If you want to control the temperature accurately, the UV machine needs a thermostat. When you buy a UV machine, you should carefully ask about the details of the ventilation system to ensure that the UV machine has a good ventilation link, because once the whole ventilation system goes wrong, it is not easy to repair and transform. Our general small uv curing machine is equipped with 1 to three 38v fans, which can solve the heat dissipation problem well. We can also choose air cooling or water cooling system to achieve better heat dissipation effect.

Thirdly, the control part.

The vulcanizing machines produced by different manufacturers are different. The control system should include leakage protector, motor overload protection, control circuit insurance, fan motor insurance, ultraviolet lamp ammeter, lighting timer, digital temperature controller, power indicator, start/stop switch, half power setting of ultraviolet lamp, etc. The electric control part has high sensitivity and durability.

Fourth, the transmission part.

This part is generally composed of deceleration motor, frequency converter, conveyor belt, chain or roller. There are many brands of frequency converters and deceleration motors on the market, and their quality is uneven. It is recommended that manufacturers pay attention to discrimination when purchasing UV machines. It is best to use reliable frequency converters and deceleration motors, especially frequency converters, whose repair rate is very high. There are generally three options for belt drive in our company: pvc green belt, stainless steel belt and Teflon belt. The width of conventional belt is 300mm/450mm, which can be widened and narrowed according to customer's requirements. Adjust the speed of the conveyor belt to 0 m/min ~ 90 m/min.

Verb (abbreviation for verb) box

The box of the curing machine may be the most easily overlooked part, but the internal structure of machines with almost the same appearance may vary widely. Most poor quality UV machines failed in the box design, with messy internal wiring, poor ventilation and no interlayer, which directly affected the performance of UV machines and brought inconvenience to subsequent maintenance.
