Chinese embassies in foreign countries have medical support

Xinhua News Agency, Tunisia, Nov. 16 (Xinhua Huang Ling Xu Supei) China's embassy in Tunisia on Nov. 16 donated anti-epidemic supplies and medical equipment to the medical department of Gafsa province in southern Tunisia.

Chinese Ambassador to Tunisia Zhang Jianguo and embassy staff went to Gafsa province on the same day to donate medical supplies and part of the cash to the Gafsa Regional General Hospital for the purchase of urgently needed local medical equipment and goods.

Ghafsa Governor Hamdi thanked the Chinese side for their selfless assistance, saying that they will further consolidate and develop bilateral friendly and cooperative relations.

Zhang also visited members of the Chinese medical team working in the Gafsa regional general hospital on the same day. He said the medical cooperation between the two countries should be strengthened, welcomed the hospitals of the Turkic side to send selected personnel to visit and study in China, encouraged the exchange of knowledge, experience and technology between Chinese and Turkic medical personnel, and strengthened the training of local medical talents.

The Chinese Embassy in Tunisia has donated this year to the public medical sector in the provinces of Jendubai, Tunis and Sidi Bouzid.
