Vietnam medical equipment supply chain

Apple is negotiating to produce Apple Watch and MacBook in Vietnam in order to occupy a larger market share. Vietnam is now Apple's most important production center, and many products, including tablets and headphones, are produced in Vietnam. Even Foxconn, Apple's supplier, makes Apple watches in Vietnam. Its main market is production equipment outside China, and the negotiation between Apple and suppliers is mainly to establish a speaker-based test production line. This is undoubtedly good news for Vietnam, and the production process involves a lot of high technology, because more parts are drilled into a small box, which requires higher technical support. If this equipment can be produced successfully, it will be the biggest victory in Vietnam, and Apple is also considering moving its production line in China to Vietnam.

Because the epidemic has led to stricter control in China, which has also interrupted some supply chains, Apple will transfer the tablet computer to Viet Nam for this reason. For decades, Apple relied on China for almost all its products. Turning products from China to Viet Nam began with the production of AirPods. More importantly, since the United States launched the trade war with China, Apple began to accelerate its investment in Vietnam, making its production lines more diversified. Of course, this transfer of Apple is also a strategic move for Apple's diversification.

Vietnamese suppliers are also increasing. Besides Apple, there are many manufacturers of electronic products, such as Dell and Amazon. They want to diversify outside China. In the tense relationship between China and the United States, they tried to find a strategy to better maintain the economic balance between the two sides. In addition, the company can choose more suppliers outside China. For a long time, China has been the most important producer in the world. However, with the impact of the epidemic and Sino-US trade disputes, China's factory status has also been weakened, and Viet Nam has been upgrading in its supply chain.
