Basic introduction
Ear thermometer is a non-contact telemetering and temperature measuring instrument (the telemetering distance is about one centimeter). It determines the body temperature by detecting the infrared spectrum emitted by the tympanic membrane (equivalent to the inferior colliculus). According to the theory of blackbody radiation, the infrared spectra produced by objects with different temperatures are different. It is displayed by thermopile infrared detector with an accuracy of 0.65438 0℃, and then the reading is converted by microcomputer.
Ear thermometer usually adopts thermopile sensor, including the above optical system, photodetector thermopile and thermistor. The far infrared radiation intensity of human tympanic membrane 6- 15μm was detected by thermopile sensor.
