Regulations on the number of batteries to be carried on board an airplane

Portable electronic devices (cameras, cell phones, laptop computers, portable video cameras, etc.) containing lithium batteries may be carried on board as carry-on baggage by passengers for personal use, and the rated energy value of the lithium batteries shall not exceed 100Wh (watt-hours). Those exceeding 100Wh but not exceeding 160Wh can be loaded on the equipment in the delivery baggage or hand baggage with the approval of the airline. Lithium batteries exceeding 160Wh are strictly prohibited.

Spare batteries for portable electronic devices must be individually protected against short-circuiting (by placing them in their original retail packaging or otherwise insulating the electrodes, e.g., by taping the exposed electrodes, or by placing each battery in a separate plastic bag or protective case) and may be carried in hand baggage only. Only two spare lithium batteries of 100-160Wh approved by the airline can be carried.

Wheelchairs or other similar mobility devices powered by lithium batteries and portable medical electronic devices containing lithium batteries carried by passengers for medical purposes must be carried in accordance with the relevant requirements and approved by the airline. "Rules for Domestic Transportation of Passengers and Baggage of Civil Aviation of China" states:

Article 41? The carrier may, for the sake of transportation safety, inspect the passenger's baggage in conjunction with the passenger; if necessary, it may inspect the baggage in conjunction with the relevant departments. If the passenger refuses to be inspected, the carrier has the right to refuse transportation for that baggage.

The Civil Aviation Security Inspection Rules state:

Article 4? Passengers and their baggage items entering the control area of the airport of civil transportation, air cargo, airmail shall be subject to security checks. Those who refuse to undergo security inspection shall not enter the control area of the civil transportation airport. Except for those exempted from inspection as stipulated by the State Council.

Passengers, air cargo shippers, air cargo sales agents, air mail shippers shall cooperate with civil aviation security agencies to carry out their work.?

Article 62? Personnel, baggage and articles that have been security checked and those that have not been security checked shall not mix or come into contact with each other. In case of mixing or contact, the civil transportation airport management agency shall take the following measures:?
