The First Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical College was founded in 1896, the predecessor of the British Canadians run by the Christian Boji Hospital, has been renamed as the Huimin Hospital, Plain Province Provincial Hospital, the hospital affiliated to the North Henan Medical College, etc. In 1982, it was renamed as the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical College to the present. It is the largest provincial-level comprehensive hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching and scientific research in the north of Henan Province. It was the first hospital in north Henan to be awarded the "Grade 3A Hospital" by the Ministry of Health.
