Apple's self-developed mask is here, Apple style, self-produced and self-use

September 10, according to Bloomberg, Apple has designed a mask specifically for its employees called the 'Apple Face Mask', which will be available to corporate and retail employees for the next two weeks.

The 'Apple Face Mask' was developed by the engineering and industrial design teams, which also work on devices like the iPhone and iPad. The mask consists of three layers that filter incoming and outgoing particles and can be washed and reused up to five times. Visually, the mask is typical Apple style. It also has adjustable cords to fit a person's ears.

Apple says the masks are designed and manufactured entirely in-house. The company says it has conducted meticulous research and testing to find the right materials for air filtration without compromising the supply chain for medical personal protective equipment.

In addition, Apple also purchased a clear mask called ClearMask. The mask is the first clear surgical mask approved by the FDA (US Food and Drug Administration), and the user's face is not obscured when wearing the mask so that people who are hard of hearing can more easily understand what the wearer is saying.
