What China International Rescue Team has done for us

Since its establishment, the National Earthquake Disaster Emergency Rescue Team, in accordance with the requirements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, has earnestly studied policy and theory, earthquake knowledge, on-site search and rescue knowledge and skills, and trained hard to carry out simulation drills and real-life rescue, and has made gratifying achievements. China International Rescue Team has close contact with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), cooperates with China's foreign policy, actively participates in the United Nations humanitarian emergency rescue affairs, such as INSARAG (International Search and Rescue Advisory Group), UNDAC (United Nations Disaster Assessment and Coordination Team), etc., and maintains a good cooperative relationship with the rescue teams of friendly countries, such as Switzerland, Singapore, Germany, the Netherlands and so on, Germany, the Netherlands, etc.

2003

On February 24, 2003, when a 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck Bachu-Gashi, Xinjiang, the rescue team participated in actual rescue for the first time, and played an active role in stabilizing the society and restoring the homes in the disaster area. On May 21, 2003, when a 6.9 magnitude earthquake struck Algeria, the rescue team made its debut on the international rescue stage, and Search found a survivor, expanding China's influence in international rescue affairs; December 1, 2003, Xinjiang Zhaosu 6.1 earthquake, December 26, Iran 7.0 earthquake, the rescue team were rushed to the disaster area in time to carry out rescue missions.

2004

December 26, the Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami disaster, China's international rescue team two batches *** 70 people went to the disaster area in Banda Aceh, Indonesia, the implementation of a four-week humanitarian emergency relief operations, *** medical treatment of more than 10,000 injured and sick victims.

In 2005

After the 7.8-magnitude earthquake in Pakistan on October 8, the China International Rescue Team (CIRT) dispatched two batches of 90 people to Pakistan's hardest-hit area of Barakot to carry out 32 days of emergency search and rescue, medical treatment, prevention and control of epidemics and diseases, disaster assessment, and post-earthquake trend determination, etc. The team rescued three survivors and treated 2,785 sick and wounded people, and for the first time, acted as an international rescue coordinator at the scene, playing an important role. He also served as an international rescue coordinator for the first time, playing an important role in rescue coordination.

2006

On May 27, 2006, a 6.4 magnitude earthquake occurred in Yogyakarta Special Autonomous Region of Indonesia, and the rescue team went to the hardest-hit area of Bantul to carry out medical treatment, disaster assessment and emergency search and rescue work for 18 days, and the rescue team undertook the rescue and treatment of nearly 1/4 of the injured people in the affected area of Bantul, and ****treated 3015 injured people. With its excellent style, superb technology, advanced concepts and outstanding work, the rescue team has become an important rescue force in the disaster area, and has been highly evaluated by the local government, the public and the international community, and has strongly cooperated with China's overall foreign aid operations. The National Earthquake Disaster Emergency Rescue Team, while carrying out earthquake rescue, has actively played the role of multi-specialty and multi-purpose, and has participated in the Qinghai avalanche and Tianjin Jixian landslide rescue operation[1][2].

Wenchuan Earthquake

After the Wenchuan earthquake, CISAR, carrying professional rescue equipment such as life detectors, hydraulic air cushions and search dogs, appeared in front of the affected people in Dujiangyan in the early morning of May 13th at the fastest speed. Dressed in red-orange rescue suits with the word "CHINA" printed on their backs, they successfully rescued 49 survivors.

Haiti Earthquake

An earthquake measuring 7.0 on the Richter scale struck the Caribbean island nation of Haiti at 16:53 local time on Jan. 12, 2010 (5:53 p.m. Beijing time on Jan. 13, 2010) (according to China's seismic network, a strong earthquake measuring 7.3 on the Richter scale occurred in the afternoon of Jan. 12, 2010 at the local time in Haiti), and the capital city of Port-au-Prince and most of the country were seriously affected. It is reported that the rescue team line *** counted 68 people, composed of three sub-teams, including 10 people from the State seismological bureau of the expert sub-team. In addition, they carried three search and rescue dogs, directly to the site of the collapse of the headquarters of the United Nations Mission in Haiti by bus, has begun the site investigation and preliminary rescue work. January 13th, the Dominican Republic's rescue team arrived in the morning in the Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince, began to carry out rescue work. Then in the afternoon of January 13th, rescue teams from the United States, France, Iceland, Puerto Rico and other countries also arrived. Some of their team members have already gone to the headquarters of UNMIH to carry out the rescue. The progress of the rescue is not very fast at the moment. The news we're getting is that 21 people have been rescued from the UNMIH headquarters so far. It's late at night in Port-au-Prince, and rescue efforts in some countries have been suspended. China's international rescue team has just arrived and has already sent a 20-member team to the scene to start rescue work, the response is very quick.

April 2010 Yushu Earthquake Two earthquakes occurred in the morning of April 14, 2010, in Yushu County, Qinghai Province, with a maximum magnitude of 7.1, and the epicenter of the quake was located near the county seat. 119 people from the China National Rescue Team*** at 19:55 on the evening of April 14, including 60 search and rescue team members from a group of the Beijing Military Region's Military Engineer Regiment, 30 members of the medical team of the General Hospital of the Armed Police Force, and personnel from the State Seismological Bureau, etc., carrying two large-size rescue trucks and two large-size rescue trucks.
