The process of human activity is the process of continuous development and progress, but also the process of continuous coordination between man and nature. With the development of the economy and the continuous improvement of the standard of living, people in the pursuit of rich material life at the same time, but also seeking different ways of spiritual comfort and support, keeping pets in recent years has gradually become a big city people seeking spiritual comfort and support one of the ways.
China's pet varieties are rich in resources and large in number. Pets are accepted and loved by more and more families and individuals, and pets play a special role as "companions" in people's lives. People and pets get along happily, constituting a landscape of harmonious social development. At the same time, the pet's health and disease prevention and control has also become a matter of concern for pet owners and all sectors of society.
While pets are predominantly veterinary, but in view of the emotional attachment between pets and people, the method for livestock to deal with pet diseases is obviously not enough, the treatment of pet diseases, especially pets and animals **** suffering from disease prevention and control and other related work, must be done by professionals. For this reason, an emerging profession - the emergence of the pet physician has become the inevitable requirements of social development.
At present, the need for veterinarians is mainly concentrated in China's more economically developed cities and regions, such as: Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai and other places. According to incomplete statistics, as of the end of 2003, there were more than 10,000 pet hospitals in urban areas above the county level.
The number of pets kept is estimated to be more than 1 million in Beijing alone.
With residents' demand for pets increasing year by year, the number of pets kept will increase geometrically, which brings opportunities for the development of the pet clinic business. From the overall development and trend of the industry, the social demand for veterinarians is bound to show growth.
Because of the current pet medical practitioners in China, the construction of the team has not been well planned, the number of practitioners is obviously insufficient, and the professional ability of the practitioners needs to be further improved. After clearly establishing the pet physician as a profession, the state will further standardize this profession through professional qualification certification, improve the professionalism of practitioners, establish a high-quality diagnosis and treatment team, and promote and facilitate the healthy development of China's pet diagnosis and treatment industry.
With the development of the times, people's lives and lifestyles are more colorful, the pet industry in China will further emerge and get rapid development. The establishment and standardization of the new profession of pet doctor will also have positive significance in promoting the construction of a comprehensive and harmonious society in China
