Sunglasses GOST Certification

The production and sale of sunglasses is only permitted with GOST certification. In addition to the GOST Declaration of Conformity, GOST Certificates of Conformity can be obtained on a voluntary basis. These GOST certificates are issued by certification centers after the sunglasses have been tested and passed. Eyewear that meets hygienic requirements receives appropriate documentation. All these actions attest to the high quality of the goods and their compliance with the standards adopted in the territory of the Customs Union countries.

GOST certification of sunglasses is a mandatory certification procedure; without the mandatory GOST declaration, production and sale of goods will not be possible.

GOST Declaration of Conformity for Sunglasses

According to the Law of 2010, sunglasses are included in the group of goods that must comply with the GOST R Declaration. This document is approved and provided by the Certification Center and enables the product to comply with the relevant technical requirements. If the manufacturer of the eyewear is a non-GOST company, an agreement with that manufacturer needs to be submitted with the application form.

To declare that the lenses are made on the basis of glass, acrylic, polycarbonate. It is possible to use the following types of lenses:

Darkening in daylight;

Mirror coating

Prevents the passage of the blue spectrum;

Diopter for people with visual impairments;

Upper darkening of the glass.

The GOST declaration of conformity is filled in by the manufacturer. Therefore, the responsibility for the authenticity of the data is borne by the certification body and the manufacturer *** together. If the experts give a positive opinion, the glasses are marked with the PCT mark. It certifies that the sunglasses meet the requirements of the state.

The declaration is a very important document. It is possible to produce glasses or import them from other countries only during the validity of the certificate.

GOST Certificate of Conformity for sunglasses

In addition to the GOST Declaration of Conformity, the manufacturer can obtain a voluntary ISO 9001 certificate (Russia). This is a certificate of compliance with the quality management system. The certificate is entered into the Unified Register, in which everyone can verify its authenticity.

For the certificate, all information is provided by the certification body, and therefore all responsibility is borne by the certification body. It is not allowed to obtain a certificate without a GOST declaration of conformity. It is also possible to obtain a GOST voluntary certificate of conformity according to additional criteria.

Proof of conformity is also required for all types of sunglasses used by teenagers and children. Children's products should be thoroughly checked according to the requirements of the technical documentation.

Certificate of state registration of sunglasses

A certificate of state registration of eyeglasses can be issued after confirming their quality in the field of hygiene and sanitation. The certificate is executed by the Federal Office for Consumer Protection. If the results of the tests are satisfactory, the regulatory authority issues an expert opinion on the product or a special state registration certificate. The conclusion has no expiration date and can be used indefinitely; it is obtained voluntarily. The certificate of state registration is a binding document.

Sunglasses are not medical devices and therefore do not require a certificate of registration from the regulatory authority. This document is only required for spectacles with diopter.
