Common faults of dispensing machines and how to deal with them

1. The glue nozzle is clogged

Cause: The pinhole of the automatic dispensing machine is not completely cleaned, impurities are mixed into the patch glue, and there is plugging, incompatible glue The mixture will cause the glue nozzle to have less output or no glue dots to come out.

Solution: Change the clean needle to a better quality patch adhesive. The brand of patch adhesive should not be mistaken. 2. Glue valve dripping

Cause: The diameter of the needle used by the dispensing machine is too small. A needle that is too small will affect the air bubble discharge action of the glue valve when it is first used, affecting the flow of liquid and causing back pressure. As a result This causes dripping to occur shortly after the glue valve is closed.

Solution: This problem can be solved by simply changing the needle to a larger one. In addition, the air in the liquid will cause dripping after the glue valve is closed. It is best to eliminate the air in the liquid in advance, or use glue that is not likely to contain bubbles, or centrifuge the glue to defoam before use.

3. The flow rate is too slow

Cause: The dispensing machine pipeline is too long or too narrow, the air pressure at the nozzle is insufficient, and the dispensing flow rate is too slow.

Solution: Change the dispensing machine pipeline from 1/4” to 3/8”. If not necessary, the pipeline should be as short as possible. In addition, the glue port and air pressure must be improved to speed up the flow rate.

4. There are bubbles in the fluid

Cause: Due to excessive fluid pressure and too short valve opening time, the dispensing machine may allow air to penetrate into the liquid. causing the generation of bubbles.

Solution: Reduce fluid pressure and use a tapered, beveled needle.

5. The glue output is inconsistent in size

Cause: The pressure cylinder or air pressure of the fluid stored in the glue dispenser is unstable, resulting in uneven glue output and inconsistent sizes. Solution: Avoid using the low pressure part of the pressure gauge. The control pressure of the glue valve should be at least 60psi to ensure stable glue discharge. Finally, the glue discharging time should be checked. If it is less than 15/1000 seconds, the glue discharging will be unstable. The longer the glue discharging time, the more stable the glue discharging will be.
