The choice of Wuling under the crisis of chip supply
"Lack of core" is still spreading around the world. China, as a big automobile producing country, is also the fastest promoting country of new energy vehicles. The demand for automotive semiconductors is huge, and most automotive chips rely on outsourcing.
In view of the early judgment on the increasingly fierce chip competition, SAIC-GM-Wuling began to implement the "strong core" strategy in 20021year, defining the functional requirements of the chip from the scene and the performance parameters of the chip from the user experience, strengthening in-depth cooperation with domestic semiconductor manufacturers, and combining component suppliers and domestic chip manufacturers to formulate a new technical framework and scheme for domestic chips suitable for SAIC-GM-Wuling models, which broke through the technical bottleneck of adaptability and stability of domestic chips.
At the same time, SAIC-GM-Wuling has carried out quality verification with chip manufacturers and component manufacturers to improve the versatility, economy and reliability of chips.
Wuling core debut
According to the information provided by SAIC-GM-Wuling, at present, each car needs an average of 2 10 chips, 40% of which are computing chips, similar to computer CPU. At present, the relevant parameters of Wuling computing chip have reached the technical level of similar products abroad. SAIC-GM-Wuling is also in the fields of 5G communication chips, memory chips, energy chips and artificial intelligence chips. Work together with outstanding partners of the United Nations to break through core technologies and accelerate the pace of chip localization.
Shao Jie, director of electrification of SAIC-GM-Wuling Technology Center, proposed that SAIC-GM-Wuling would build an open platform for testing, verifying and applying domestic chips with a more open, * * and innovative attitude, so as to help China realize the autonomy and self-reliance of the automobile industry chain and supply chain at an early date.
SAIC-GM-Wuling will speed up the strategy of "strengthening the core" and strive to make the localization rate of GSEV platform chips exceed 90% during the Tenth Five-Year Plan period. It is reported that at this stage, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is coordinating the docking communication between chip companies and application companies, organizing automobile companies and chip companies to jointly compile the "Automotive Semiconductor Supply and Demand Docking Manual", further unblocking the information channels of automobile chip supply and demand, and building a platform for exchanges and cooperation between the supply and demand sides.
The first intelligent miniature power exchange station
Power exchange-SAIC-GM-Wuling has long had reserves. At present, there are four major pain points in the power exchange market: large area, difficult planning, special dependence on infrastructure, high construction cost, nonstandard battery standard, difficult scale, difficult operation of power exchange station and long investment return period.
At this event, SAIC-GM-Wuling officially announced the smart micro-power station for new energy vehicles. Different from other domestic car companies, the new energy car power station has low cost and only two small parking spaces. Its main advantage is that it can move flexibly.
"Wuling New Energy Vehicle Intelligent Miniature Power Exchange Station"
It is reported that the power exchange system of SAIC-GM-Wuling intelligent miniature power exchange station includes battery compartment and AGV power exchange device. The principle of power exchange is to standardize the design of thin-layer battery. AGV trolley bus shuttles between trolley bus and vehicle chassis, intelligently identifies the position of battery pack, and carries out power exchange operation.
Intelligent power exchange station can get on the bridge and stop accurately without changing trams. The power-changing robot accurately locates through visual recognition and laser technology, and its power-changing technology is equivalent to filling a tank with oil.
"Small but strong" is the goal of SAIC-GM-Wuling to build this power exchange technology. The construction cost of intelligent micro-power station is only 1/3 of that of conventional power stations in the industry. It can also be extended by building blocks, and multiple storage compartments can be flexibly configured. Can also be combined with energy storage, V2X, V2G and other energy interaction technologies for multi-mode operation, reducing operating costs and accelerating investment recovery.
At present, the intelligent miniature power exchange station has been put into use in the unmanned logistics vehicle of SAIC-GM-Wuling Baojun base, and the power exchange has been completed for more than 2,000 times, saving nearly 20,000 hours for the unmanned logistics vehicle.
Achieve the milestone of GSEV exceeding 500,000 vehicles.
SAIC-GM-Wuling has been focusing on the small new energy vehicle market, striving to build a global small pure electric vehicle architecture of GSEV. Since E1was launched in 20021,the cumulative sales volume of vehicles on GSEV platform has exceeded 500,000, and the sales volume of small new energy vehicles ranks first in the world.
Among them, the cumulative sales volume of Hong Guang MINI EV has reached 370,000 units; On the other hand, Baojun KiWi EV, 202 1, which was newly listed at the end of August, also achieved orders exceeding 3,000 in 7 days and 6,000 in 20 days.
According to Wuling's statistics, GSEV new energy products have successfully covered 333 provinces and cities in China, with first-and second-tier cities accounting for 14%.
