How to install SSD solid state drive?

Ssd solid state hard disk burying method;

1. First, install the SSD on the hard disk with a 2.5-inch to 3.5-inch hard disk rack.

2. Start the BIOS and set the disk mode to AHCI mode (basically, the default disk mode of all motherboards is IDE mode, which is to provide compatibility for mechanical hard disks, but it is not suitable for SSD at all). At the same time, the NCQ of AHCI should also be turned on.

3. Load the original image of Microsoft Windows7 installation with CD or boot disk (you must not use the messy GHOST version), format the newly bought SSD with the disk management tool that comes with windows7, and align the 4KB sector. 4KB sector alignment or not will affect the performance of SSD by 50%. Whether the 4K sector is aligned or not can be detected by taking it as the SSD benchmark. If it is green 1024-OK, it means alignment; If it is red, it means it is not aligned.

4. Next, install the system normally, just like the normal process. After installing the system, install the Intel RST driver to enable fast storage technology.

Solid-state hard disk (SSD) is a hard disk composed of an array of solid-state electronic storage chips, which is composed of a control unit and a storage unit (FLASH chip and DRAM chip). Solid-state hard disk is exactly the same as traditional hard disk in interface specification and definition, function and usage, as well as product appearance and size, but I/O performance is greatly improved compared with traditional hard disk. Widely used in military, vehicle, industrial control, video monitoring, network monitoring, network terminals, electric power, medical care, aviation, navigation equipment and other fields.

The working temperature range of the chip is very wide, including commercial products (0~70℃) and industrial products (-40~85℃). Although the cost is high, it is gradually spreading to DIY market. Because solid-state hard disk technology is different from traditional hard disk technology, there are many emerging memory manufacturers. Manufacturers only need to buy NAND memory and cooperate with appropriate control chips to manufacture solid-state hard disks. SATA-3 interface, M.2 interface, MSATA interface, PCI-E interface, SAS interface, CFast interface and SFF-8639 interface are widely used in the new generation of solid state drives.

But when SSD is powered off for a long time and placed in a high temperature environment, it will face the risk of data loss. So it is not a good choice to back up data with SSD.

With the rapid development of Internet, people's demand for data and information storage is increasing. Now many storage manufacturers have launched their own portable solid state drives, and more mobile solid state drives supporting Type-C interface and solid state drives supporting fingerprint identification have been launched.
