Original report of Hunan farmers' investigation

The report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward the strategy of "rural revitalization". In order to understand the thoughts, hopes, opinions and suggestions of rural grassroots cadres and masses in our province on "rural revitalization", the Public Opinion Survey Center of the Provincial Bureau of Statistics recently conducted a public opinion survey on "rural revitalization" throughout the province, and interviewed 832 village cadres and 10400 rural residents in 26 counties (cities).

During the investigation, rural cadres evaluated the current rural life, put forward their own wishes for the implementation of the strategy of "rural revitalization" and put forward suggestions on how to further promote this strategy in our province. On July 2nd, the Provincial Bureau of Statistics released the first opinion poll report. 96% rural residents "like" the ecological environment and hope to further improve the basic service facilities and living environment.

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, rural infrastructure and public services in our province have been greatly improved. In the survey, more than 80% of rural residents are generally "satisfied" and "relatively satisfied" with these two aspects. But when it comes to details, residents think there is room for further improvement. In terms of infrastructure, rural residents are the most dissatisfied with the road traffic conditions, and as many as 46.3% of the respondents think that "the roads are not standardized, the road conditions are poor and the grade is low".

Improve the living environment

Some respondents also said that drinking water facilities, environmental protection facilities, network facilities, power facilities, gas facilities and other aspects are not satisfactory. About 50% of rural residents are dissatisfied with the public lighting facilities in rural areas, and garbage disposal facilities, cultural and entertainment facilities, medical and health facilities, educational facilities and shopping facilities have also been "spit".

For their living environment, 96% of rural residents rated the living ecological environment as "good" and "relatively good", but thought that rural pollution should be paid attention to. Among them, 64.8% of the villagers think there is "domestic garbage pollution" and 47.0% think there is "pesticide pollution". 27.4% of the villagers think there is "drinking water pollution", 20.3% think there is "soil pollution", 1 1.4% think there is "air pollution" and 10.8% think there is "industrial pollution".
