Lanzhou Second People's Hospital is located in the city on the north bank of the Yellow River, north of Binhe Road, surrounded by trees, quiet and elegant, unique architectural style, formerly known as the "Boden" hospital, in 1914 by the United States industrialists Boden donations, the Scotsman Jin Pin San was founded.1951 by the people's government of Lanzhou City, taking over, named "Lanzhou Municipal People's Hospital".
In 1970, it was renamed as "Lanzhou Infectious Disease Hospital", and in 1978, it was renamed as "Lanzhou Second People's Hospital". Now it has developed into a third-class B-level comprehensive hospital integrating medical treatment, prevention, health care, teaching, scientific research and first aid. The hospital covers a total area of 40,380 square meters, with a total construction area of 38,268 square meters.
