I specifically found a friend’s car to test because she sometimes complained about smells in the car. The car has been parked for two days. When I got on the car, the formaldehyde content was measured to be 0.23 mg per cubic meter. The standard value is 0.08. It can be seen that ventilation must be done after parking for a long time. Or if you have a new car, you should pay more attention to this issue.
Turn on the maximum three levels of air volume. I forgot to bring a noise tester. It’s a bit noisy but acceptable. If you are particularly concerned about noise, you will hardly hear any sound in the 1st and 2nd gears.
Let me talk here, no matter how powerful this car purifier is, it cannot quickly remove up to 0.23 mg of formaldehyde per cubic meter in a short period of time.
So I basically drove all afternoon. After about three hours, the test value has dropped to 0.06mg per cubic meter, which has reached the national standard.
However, it should be noted that vehicles are also driving during this period, and air exchange will also dissipate part of the formaldehyde concentration, so this result is not solely due to the purifier.
But it must be clear that the car purifier Nerogen is still effective in purifying formaldehyde. I continued driving for about an hour, and the value was basically stable between 0.05-0.07mg per cubic meter.
In other words, after reducing the formaldehyde concentration in the car, this purifier can continuously maintain the formaldehyde level in the car within a normal range. The source of formaldehyde in the car is nothing more than the interior. Even if you ventilate before driving, it will still be continuously released during driving. Of course, the release speed will be slower, but it will still have an impact on the body in the long run, especially new cars.
As for the removal effect of bacteria and viruses, since there is no condition to test it, we can only rely on a test report on the business details interface.
This is the test report of Guangzhou Zhongke Testing Institution. It can be seen that the sterilization rate of Staphylococcus albus can reach an average of 98.94%. There was also a significant decrease in the number of colonies before and after the test.
In fact, there are only a few technologies currently available for these sterilization and aldehyde removal. Activated carbon, ozone, negative ions and AOP-KF. Activated carbon can only adsorb, and the effect is average. Ozone cannot be used continuously during driving, and negative ions have a less obvious sterilization effect. Therefore, among these technologies, AOP-KF may be a relatively better solution at present. There is no secondary pollution, and the purification effect is also good.
