World Heart Day is in September.
World Heart Day (World Heart Day) was established by the World Heart Federation, established in 1999, once a year, September 24, 2000 was the first World Heart Day, and since then the last Sunday of September every year for the World Heart Day. 2011 onwards, it was changed to September 29 every year.
The purpose is to promote knowledge about heart health worldwide and to make the public realize that life requires a healthy heart. Heart disease is the number one threat to human life and health, and in order to remind people of this, the World Heart Federation has established World Heart Day once a year. 2023, September 29, is the 24th World Heart Day.
Advances in heart-related technologies
The Xinsorb bioabsorbable scaffold developed by the team of academician Ge Junbo from Fudan University was unveiled at the university exhibition area of the Industrial Expo and won the ciif award at the 23rd China International Industry Fair (CIIF).
Unlike traditional metal scaffolds, the scaffold is implanted into the human body 3-4 months later, the structure of the diseased blood vessel is basically fixed and no longer needs to be supported; one year after the implantation, the scaffold begins to gradually degrade into water and carbon dioxide; within 2-4 years, the scaffold is naturally metabolized and absorbed by the human body, which restores the vessel's structure and function to its natural state, and ultimately makes the diseased blood vessel realize complete repair.
Also at the fair, Wicresoft brought the RhythmWatch Pro Flexible Dynamic ECG Recorder, which can be linked to ECG, blood oxygen and blood pressure remote monitoring devices to achieve real-time monitoring of up to seven parameters (ECG, heart rate, posture, blood oxygen, pulse rate, blood pressure, pulse wave), and can quickly establish a remote monitoring center in hospitals, which can be applied to post-operative real-time monitoring, cardiac rehabilitation and chronic disease management.
