CoolSculpting is a non-invasive cryotherapy device that uses a non-surgical procedure called cryolipolysis to target fat cells and cool them to a temperature that triggers apoptosis, which the body is able to metabolize over time in order to reduce the fat layer.

Cautions
Warning items that should be considered during treatment include:
Known sensitivity to cold temperatures, such as cold urticaria or Raynaud's disease or frostbite; known allergies to fructose, glycerin, isopropyl alcohol or propylene glycol; and impaired peripheral circulation in the area to be treated.
Neurological disorders such as postherpetic neuralgia or diabetic neuropathy; impaired skin sensation; open or infected wounds; bleeding disorders or a combination of blood thinners; recent surgery or scar tissue in the area to be treated; the presence of a hernia in the area to be treated or in an adjacent area.
It is not known what will happen if CoolSculpting is performed directly on the surface of the body if there is a working implanted medical device, such as a pacemaker or defibrillator, in the area to be treated, or if there is a dermatologic condition, such as eczema, dermatitis, or a rash, in the area to be treated.
