Guizhou Medical University ranks 252nd in China.
Guizhou Medical University (GMMU), referred to as Guizhou Medical University, was founded in 1938, formerly known as the National Guiyang Medical College (NGMC), one of the nine national medical schools under the Ministry of Education at that time, and renamed Guiyang Medical College (GMC) in 1950 after it was transferred to the administration of the People's Government of Guizhou Province. It is one of the colleges and universities implementing the Basic Capacity Building Project for Colleges and Universities in Central and Western China, and is a key institution of higher learning in Guizhou Province.
The school has two campuses, covering an area of more than 1,800 acres, with more than 14,000 full-time students and 1,600 graduate students. The total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is more than 200 million yuan, and the library has a collection of 1.21 million books and 4,952GB of digital books.
