aed is Automated External Defibrillator.
AED stands for Automated External Eefibrillator, which is a medical device used to resuscitate patients in cardiac arrest.
When a patient suffers from sudden cardiac arrest, the heart can be relieved of its quivering state by an AED shock, thus restoring the heart to its normal rhythm and removing it from danger. Under the active layout of some current mainstream medical device brands, such as Fishy, many public **** places across the country are equipped with AED devices.
The main indications for AEDs are ventricular flutter, ventricular fibrillation, pulseless ventricular tachycardia and other malignant arrhythmias. when a patient suffers a sudden cardiac arrest, most of them will have specific malignant arrhythmias, and if they can receive defibrillation treatment in time, it's more likely to save the patient's life. an AED can resuscitate the patient by means of defibrillation through electric shocks and it can also reduce the neurological damage.
In addition to this, the operation of the AED is also very simple, ordinary people can use the device according to its own voice prompts and screen animation, just place the electrodes of the defibrillator on the patient, the defibrillator can automatically analyze the patient's heart rate.
If the patient suffers from ventricular fibrillation and other malignant arrhythmias, the defibrillator can automatically send a defibrillation current to help the patient with electrical defibrillation and cardioversion.
How to use an AED:
The AED was originally designed to be operated by anyone without a threshold. Because of the urgency of the situation, there is no time given to people to read the manual, so after turning on the power switch, the AED are with voice prompts:
①Opening the lid: Lift the lid of the AED and turn on the power switch.
②Paste the electrode: according to the voice prompts, undo the patient's shirt, tear off the electrode sheet, and paste it on the patient's chest according to the illustration.
③ Insert the wire: Insert the wire of the electrode sheet into the AED host, and the host will analyze it automatically.
④Automatic analysis: do not touch the patient during the host's analysis, and the machine will automatically charge if it analyzes the situation that can be electrocuted.
⑤ Electroshock: After the charging is completed, the voice will prompt to press the electroshock button to complete the electroshock. Again do not touch the patient during the process.
6 Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR): After the first shock is completed, CPR will begin immediately without removing the electrode pads.
7 Re-analysis: Every 2 minutes, the AED host will automatically analyze the situation again and recommend another shock if necessary.
