The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
3. 1
Steel scrap for smelting scrap steel.
Steel scrap and steel that cannot be used according to the original purpose but must be used for smelting and recycling.
3.2
Non-smelting scrap iron and steel and non-smelting scrap iron and steel
It cannot be used according to the original purpose, nor is it used for smelting, recycling or rolling steel, but for other purposes.
3.3
Harmful substance
Some substances will adversely affect the quality of molten metal and the environment.
3.4
include
Refers to other substances mixed or entrained in scrap iron during collection, packaging and transportation.
3.5
Delivery batch
The same type or multiple types of scrap iron and steel that arrive at the same time by the same means of transport.
3.6
inspection lot
A batch of scrap steel of the same model and the same kind collected as the inspection object.
4 classification
Scrap steel can be divided into scrap iron and scrap steel.
4. 1 scrap iron
4. 1. 1 The carbon content of scrap iron is generally greater than 2.0%. The sulfur content (mass fraction) and phosphorus content (mass fraction) of high-quality scrap iron are not more than 0.07% and 0.40% respectively. The sulfur content (mass fraction) and phosphorus content (mass fraction) of common iron filings and alloy iron filings are less than 0. 12% and 1.00% respectively. The iron content of blast furnace additives should not be lower than 65.0%.
4. 1.2 scrap iron is divided into smelting scrap iron and non-smelting scrap iron according to its use.
4. 1.2. 1 scrap iron for smelting
4. 1.2. 1. 1 Scrap iron for smelting is classified by quality and shape. See table 1 for details.
4.2 scrap steel
4.2. 1 The carbon content of scrap steel is generally less than 2.0%, and the sulfur content and phosphorus content are not more than 0.050%.
4.2.2 Residual elements in unalloyed scrap steel shall meet the following requirements: the mass fraction of nickel is not more than 0.30%, the mass fraction of chromium is not more than 0.30%, and the mass fraction of copper is not more than 0.30%. Except for manganese and silicon, the total content (mass fraction) of other residual elements is not more than 0.60%.
4.2.3 Scrap steel is divided into smelting scrap steel and non-smelting scrap steel according to the purpose.
4.2.3. 1 smelting scrap steel
4.2.3. 1. 1 pressing with scrap steel for smelting.
