What are the core technologies of artificial intelligence?

1 Computer vision.

Computer vision is the ability of a computer to recognize objects, scenes and activities from images.

It has a wide range of applications, including imaging analysis in healthcare for disease prediction, diagnosis, and treatment; face recognition; security and surveillance for identifying suspects; and shopping, where consumers can use their smartphones to take photos of products for more shopping options.

2 Machine learning.

Machine learning is the ability of a computer system to improve its performance without having to follow displayed program instructions, relying instead on data.

It also has a wide range of applications, primarily for activities that generate huge amounts of data, such as sales forecasting, inventory management, oil and gas exploration, and bulletin health.

3 Natural language processing.

It refers to the ability of computers to have the ability to process text as humans do.

The example is machine learning-driven categorization of many emails to determine whether an email is spam or not.

4 Robotics

The integration of cognitive technologies such as machine vision and automated planning into extremely small but high-performance sensors, brakes, and cleverly designed hardware creates robots that have the ability to work alongside humans.

Examples include drones, and "cobots" that share the workload with humans on the shop floor.

5 Speech recognition

Speech recognition focuses on technologies that automatically and accurately transcribe human speech.

The main applications of speech recognition include medical dictation, voice writing, voice control of computer systems, and telephone customer service. A mobile app that allows users to place orders by voice has recently been launched.
