The "adsorption force" data in the above table is the value of adsorption force per square centimeter of area of the suction cup when the pump is evacuated with no air leakage at all (which is almost impossible). In general, there is more or less air leakage between the object and the suction cup. The airtightness between the item and the suction cup is a key factor that affects the adsorption effect and even determines the success or failure, and must be dealt with.
Theoretically, the size of the adsorption force is only related to the vacuum degree of the pump and the area of the suction cup, and has nothing to do with the flow rate of the pump, but in actual use and the flow rate parameters of the pump are related. The reason is as follows: because the suction cup and the suction object can not do between the absolute seal, there is always a little leakage, in this case, the larger the flow rate of the miniature vacuum pump, the leakage accounted for the smaller the proportion, the more conducive to maintaining a higher degree of vacuum, so as to get a greater adsorption force. For example, there are two pumps with the same vacuum degree, pump A has a flow rate of 1 L/min, pump B has a flow rate of 20 L/min, also in the case of 0.5 L/min leakage, the vacuum degree of pump A will be reduced a lot because 0.5 L/min leakage occupies 50% of the flow rate for pump A, which is too big. But a 0.5 L/min leak is only 2.5% of the flow for pump B, which is nothing, and the suction cup can still maintain a high vacuum. Therefore, although the two vacuum is the same, but in practice, the B pump produces more adsorption. Therefore, the pump selection must be considered both vacuum and flow two indicators, only focus on the vacuum index is not enough.
Objects are sucked after the release of the problem. Pump shutdown, the object will not necessarily be immediately dislodged, because the pump have a certain pressure retention capacity, the vacuum will continue to maintain a moment. To release immediately, we need to add a pressure relief branch between the pump and the suction cup, a valve is connected to the branch, open the valve relief, eliminate the vacuum of the airway system, so that the object can be reliably released.
