The government of China donated 654.38 million dollars under the South-South Cooperation Assistance Fund project to support the Ghana office of UNICEF and help Ghana to improve neonatal care and prevent, detect and treat severe acute malnutrition in children. Rice, a non-governmental organization in Ghana, issued a statement on the 2nd, saying that malnutrition leads to stunting of children, accounting for 24% of the deaths of children in Ghana. This donation from China will help UNICEF to continue to support the Ghanaian government in purchasing nutrition supplies and medical care equipment, and11512 children, 128925 teenagers and 23022 women in the northeast of Ghana will benefit from it.
According to United Nations statistics, Germany alone exports more than 654.38+million tons of electronic waste to Africa every year, while developed countries with advanced science and technology constantly dump toxic electronic waste containing heavy metals into developing countries, causing both physiological and environmental damage to people in economically backward countries. This has become one of the most serious economic and environmental problems in the world.
