What is the general power of microwave ovens?

The power range of domestic microwave ovens is generally 500 ~ 900 watts. The specifications of microwave ovens can usually be expressed by their output power (W).

The microwave output power of ordinary household microwave ovens is in the range of 500-900W, and a specification is often made every 50W, such as 500W, 550W, 600W, 650W, 700W, 750W, 800W, 850W, 900W, etc. And now there are few products with specifications below 600W on the market, mainly below 600 W.

Extended data:

Basic structure

The microwave oven consists of seven parts:

Magnetron: It is the "heart" of microwave oven, which generates and emits microwaves (DC energy is converted into microwave oscillation output). It is actually a vacuum tube (metal tube).

Power transformer: it is an element that supplies voltage to magnetron.

Furnace cavity: also known as resonance cavity, is the place where food is cooked, and is made of metal plate coated with non-magnetic materials. The left side and top of the furnace cavity are provided with ventilation holes. The microwave input into the furnace cavity through the waveguide is reflected back and forth in the cavity wall, and passes through the food every time. When designing a microwave oven, the side length of the cavity is usually 1/2 times of the wavelength of microwave guided waves, so that when heating food, the cavity can maintain resonance and the resonance range can be appropriately widened.

Waveguide: transmit the microwave power generated by magnetron to the furnace cavity to heat food.

Turntable: The turntable is installed at the bottom of the furnace cavity, with a certain height from the furnace bottom, and is driven by a small motor with a rotation speed of 5-6 rpm.

Furnace door: the function of the furnace door is to facilitate the taking and placing of food and observe the cooking situation. The oven door is also the front wall of the oven cavity, which is the checkpoint for the whole microwave oven to prevent microwave leakage.

Time power controller: Choose different power to cook or thaw different foods.
