The following is the provisions of Article 26 of the Regulations for the Implementation of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China.
If a motor vehicle driver fails to score 12 points in each scoring cycle within the six-year validity period of the motor vehicle driver's license, he shall issue a new motor vehicle driver's license with the validity period of 10.
Within the validity period of motor vehicle driver's license 10, if each scoring cycle fails to reach 12, a long-term valid motor vehicle driver's license shall be renewed.
