How about Omron Electric

Omron's connection with China can be traced back to more than thirty years ago. The founder of the company, Mr. Kazuma Tateishi, once served as the vice president of the Kyoto General Bureau of China Trade Promotion, and started exchanges and cooperation with various sectors in China as a representative of the economic sector in the early seventies. OMRON's business in China has gone through technical exchanges in the 70's, commissioned processing in the 80's, direct investment and production in the 90's, and ushered in a new phase of "reinvestment and collaborative creation" in the 21st century.

Specially in the past ten years, OMRON has realized a milestone leap in its investment in China. 1991, OMRON set up its first factory in Dalian to produce healthcare equipment - OMRON (Dalian) Co. After that, in 1994, OMRON became the first Japanese electronics manufacturing company approved by the state authorities to set up an investment company, and, in the same year, built three control equipment manufacturing plants in Shanghai Pudong Development Zone. This means that OMRON's business in China is in full swing, and it is also a good start for OMRON to realize localized production and sales. In addition, during the three years from 2004 to 2006, Omron invested a total of 30 billion yen in China, and in 2006, Omron Industrial Automation Global Base - Omron (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. was inaugurated. At present, OMRON China has formed a comprehensive management system integrating R&D, design, production, logistics and centralized purchasing, with sales of 75.2 billion yen in FY2008, and as of April 2009, the number of employees has reached 13,463 people.
