How to apply for a Tajikistan visa

I. Individual application? Tajikistan visa process:

1. Visa applicants to determine the purpose of travel to Tajikistan and trip plan.?

2. Log on to the official website of the Embassy and Consulates General of Tajikistan in China, browse the information about visa application and the required documents for visa application, and download the visa application form.

3. Prepare visa application documents.

4. Submit the visa application documents at the Embassy or Consulate General of Thailand in China.

5. Wait for the embassy or consulate to review or add additional documents.

6. Receive the visa, after obtaining the visa, you should carefully check whether the information on the visa is correct, especially the starting and ending time of the validity of the visa and the number of days of stay in line with the application, personal information on the visa, such as the name of the correct spelling, if you find any errors, you should contact the Visa Office in a timely manner

Tajikistan visa processing Time: Visas are processed within 4-10 working days. Expedited applications can be processed within 1-3 working days

Three common types of visas for Tajikistan on the market are:

1) Investor Visa (С): issued to the leader of a foreign enterprise of international repute, which is coming to Tajikistan for business purposes, and which is effectively involved in the economic investment in Tajikistan; which is engaged in trade activities in Tajikistan or intends to develop its trade projects in Tajikistan. The visa is issued to the leaders of foreign enterprises of international renown who are coming to the country for business purposes and who are effectively involved in economic investments in the country; executives of large foreign enterprises conducting trade activities in the country or who intend to develop their trade projects in the country, as well as to the family members of the above-mentioned persons.

2) Business visa (К): issued to foreign citizens who come to Tajikistan for business purposes (to participate in business negotiations, meetings, seminars, forums, international conferences, bidding, signing of contracts, establishment of joint ventures, inspection of Tajikistan's markets, participation in auctions, exhibitions and trade fairs, provision of consulting and auditing services, etc.).

3) Labor Visa (M): issued to foreign nationals coming to work in Tajikistan, including persons coming to Tajikistan on the basis of international conventions and agreements, as well as to the family members of the above-mentioned persons.

4) Tourist Visa (T) (including Tourist Group Visa): issued to foreign nationals who are travelling to the country for tourism, or to foreign groups organized by a tour group (not less than 5 and not more than 50 persons) for the purpose of travelling to the country; foreign nationals holding Tourist Visa are required to depart from the country within the period stipulated in the visa (i.e. 45 days). Tourist visa cannot be changed to any other type of visa.

5) Long-term student visa (0-1): issued to foreign nationals, graduate and postgraduate students, doctoral students, and their family members who are going to study in international educational institutions in Tajikistan.

6) Study Visa (0-2): issued to foreign citizens and their families who are going to study in Tajikistan, for study practice, internship, short-term language training for the purpose of further education.

7) Private Visa (XC): Issued to foreign nationals visiting friends or relatives, on vacation, for medical treatment or other private matters.

8) Free Economic Zone (FEZ) Visa (МОИ): issued to investors for labor and business activities in the FEZ.

9) Visa for permanent residence (ИД): is issued to foreign citizens who are staying in the country for the purpose of permanent residence before obtaining a visa for permanent residence.

10) Driver's visa (H): issued to foreign drivers for international transportation of goods and passengers.

11) Air Crew Visa (Л): issued to foreign pilots, navigators, engineers, stewards and other air crew members.

12) Media visa (Ж): issued to foreign journalists, photographers, journalists and other foreign media organizations and their families.

13) Spouse visa (ХШ): issued to foreign spouses of citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan, their children and adopted children.

14) Visa for sports and cultural organizations (ВХ): it is issued to foreign citizens and their family members who are traveling to Tajikistan for the purpose of international competitions, training, cultural events and rehearsals.

15) Visa for religious personnel (ТД): issued to members of foreign religious organizations who practice their religion in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan or intend to practice their religion in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan.

16) Humanitarian visa (Б): issued to foreign citizens who come to the country to deliver or escort humanitarian aid.

17) Trade visa (ТИ): issued to foreign citizens engaged in trade activities.

4. Chinese citizens entering Tajikistan through a third country can get a visa on arrival.

5. If a foreign citizen does not have a letter of invitation from the receiving party and wishes to travel to Tajikistan, he/she is required to submit an application to the Embassy containing the purpose of entry, the duration of stay and the region to be visited. The Embassy will process the application within 14 working days.

6. If you wish to travel to the Gorno-Badakhshan region of Tajikistan, you need to apply for a Permit to Enter the Border Region (Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Oblast) at the Consular Section of the Embassy.

7. Foreign citizens visiting Tajikistan temporarily should register within 3 days of their arrival at the destination (in case of holidays).
