2. Principle: The appearance and internal structure of the motor The rotor is a rotatable conductor, usually in the form of a squirrel cage. Stator is the non-rotating part of motor, and its main task is to generate rotating magnetic field. The rotating magnetic field is not realized by mechanical means.
3. Instead, alternating current is applied to several pairs of electromagnets to make their magnetic pole properties change cyclically, so it is equivalent to a rotating magnetic field. This kind of motor doesn't have brushes or slip rings like DC motors. According to the type of AC power used, there are single-phase motors and three-phase motors. Single-phase motors are used in washing machines, electric fans, etc. Three-phase motor is the power equipment of the factory.
