Diagnosis and treatment environment of Shanghai Shuguang Hospital affiliated with Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SUTCM)

Shanghai Shuguang Hospital affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SUTCM) has two parts, the western part is located at No. 185, Pu'an Road (next to Huaihai Park), covering an area of 28 acres, with 600 beds and a total area of 52,000 square meters of medical rooms. The eastern part is located at No. 528 Zhangheng Road, Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, Pudong, with an investment of 600 million yuan, covering an area of 160 acres, with 720 beds and 83,000 square meters of medical buildings, with a green area of more than 47%, and a natural river meandering through the hospital, which is a garden hospital combining classical and modern.

The eastern part of the hospital is located in the "Zhangjiang Pharmaceutical Valley", adjacent to the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SUTCM) and the Shanghai International Medical Park (SIMP), which is under construction. The hospital has a beautiful environment, distinctive logos and traditional features, and a digital hospital model combining advanced medical equipment and information management, which fully embodies humanization, ecology and intelligence, and further embodies the concept of "people-oriented" in the culture of Shuguang, and creates a warm, high-quality and convenient service atmosphere. The six-storey, imposing, crescent-shaped Comprehensive Building integrates outpatient, emergency, inpatient, and administrative management; the Special Needs Building and VIP Physical Examination and Diagnostic Center are fully functional, with first-rate facilities and a comfortable environment, which opens up a broader prospect for the development of high-specification and high-quality special needs services and the creation of a high-standard brand of VIP services. The three-story high liver disease building is set separately from other buildings and naturally separated by a natural river to avoid cross infection. The new hospital breaks the current sub-specialty model of western medicine and sets up a traditional Chinese medicine medical center, which carries out clinical and teaching work under the guidance of Chinese medicine theories and the use of integrated Chinese medicine diagnostic and treatment methods.
