The full name of Dingxi Specialized College is Dingxi Normal College of Higher Education, located in Dingxi City, Gansu Province.The school is a public full-time ordinary college of higher education approved by the Ministry of Education in April 2003 on the basis of the Dingxi College of Education.In 2013, with the consent of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government of Dingxi, the whole of the Dingxi School of Health Sciences was merged into the school.
According to the school's official website in May 2015, the school covers an area of 1105 acres, with 10 departments and 1 division, 33 specialized majors, and more than 9,000 students.
